Happy 100th Birthday to John P. Solvik. (b.11/08/1921) Jack, to his friends, served as an aircraft mechanic in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. Jack primarily worked on Waco CG 4-A Gliders but also served with the 301st Troop Carrier Squadron in support of Patton's Army. Jack eventually made it to Berlin when the war ended and worked as an airplane mechanic at the Tempelhof Aerodrome.Due to the coronavirus crisis this interview was recorded over Skype with the help of Jack's son John A. Solvik.
