D-Day 80th Anniversary

USA Warrior Stories was in Normandy, France to commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day. While in Normandy we spoke with Veterans, family members, attended the unveiling of the American Merchant Marine Veterans long overdue monument to the U.S. Merchant Marine on Utah Beach and many other ceremonies. Unveiling of the U.S. Merchant Marine Memorial

On 5 June 2024, the American Merchant Marine Veterans unveiled a long overdue monument to the U.S. Merchant Marine on Utah Beach. This new monument, near the Lone Sailor monument and the Higgins Boat monument, will honor the valor and sacrifice of U.S. Merchant Mariners whose actions supported military operations on D-Day that took place 80 years ago.

on 6 June 1944. On D-Day, the Allies’ armada and invasion forces landing in Normandy created the

largest amphibious assault operation in the history of the world.

September is National Service Dog Month: PAWS OF WAR is a not-for-profit organization located in Long Island, NY dedicated to train and place shelter dogs to serve and provide independence to our U.S. military Veterans that suffer from the emotional effects of war.
