Charles Ross - USMC 1982-90
Charles Ross served in the United States Marine Corps from 1982-90, 4 years active duty and 4 years in the reserves, as an Aircraft Mechanic. Charles served aboard the USS Nassau shortly after the 1983 Beirut bombing where 220 Marines, 18 U.S. Navy sailors, and 3 U.S. Army soldiers lost their lives. After his time in the Marines Charles continued to serve his community as a police officer in Suffolk County NY and an associate pastor in his church. Charles is currently retired from the police force but continues to serve his community through his work with the Suffolk Police Veterans Association and the Barbecue Brethren.
